A NAS server is essentially a server that is set aside strictly for distributing files to other servers, and client computers. Throughout small and large businesses, there is a constant need to store large amounts of data on a central server.

There are many benefits of using a NAS server, in contrast with traditional server roles, as well as other data storage solutions. NAS offers a major advantage over traditional servers, and that advantage is simplicity and speed. With a NAS server only providing files, and little else, that server is capable of sending those files and handling large file copies easily. With commercial solutions that are practically turn-key (meaning that out of the box, they attach easily to any network), network attached storage is definitely becoming the future storage solution for many businesses- both large and small. Network attached storage servers are by far the best network storage solution for your needs.
