A data recovery service begins by trying to make the drive run again. They then copy over the hard drive to a new and cloned hard disk. They try to work around the areas with problems. Then an expert at data recovery service use some off the selves software or use a custom made data recovery software and try to restore the lost data.

If this doesn’t solve the problem then they have to attempt to reconstruct the data by hand using more advanced data recovery methods.
The hard drive recovery operation recreates the Master Boot Record (MBR) and the Master File Table (MFT). The MBR tells you how big the drive is while the MFT tells where the data bits are located on the data disk.

A recovery service of the drive cannot guarantee that data recovery is possible in all the circumstances. Data recovery is oftentimes a lengthy process. Or else, NO data recovery will be done and you might run the risk of damaging your computer’s disk drive further.
