The main purpose of DiskCopy is to make this copy between an old and a new hard disk for single PC computers possible.

The program works with hard disks attached to IDE, EIDE and SCSI bus.

You need to get your hands dirty when you copy a hard drive to a new with this software!
If you work with IDE or EIDE you open your computer and reconnect your old hard drive from a master and into a slave connection.
Then you connect the new hard disk with larger capacity as your master. You need set the jumper on the disk the right way. You can find this on your manual for the disks.

The program comes in a bootable CD-ROM.
To copy the hard disk drive you start the program by rebooting your computer and boot it from your CD-ROM drive.

Then you can copy the whole hard disk or at least the primary partition and into the new one. The new hard disk will contain the windows operation system copied from your old hard drive.
You can copy hard disks with the following operating systems: Windows 3.x, DOS, Linux, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT and Windows 2000.

Of course you can also copy segments and transfer these to the new hard drive.
