- Google Map black helicopter computer spotting
Just
the other day I came across this site http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/10/14/google_earth_competition_results/
about Google map black helicopter spotting.
It's amazing what you can find using Google Map. If you haven't used
it, then I recommend you try it out.
You can switch between map display and satellite photo.

Just imagine the data storage requirement that Google need to use to
store the all this information on their computers.
Anyway, I saw that they found two SR-71 Blackbirds at Edwards Air force
Base.
This base is most famous as a base for test flight located in the
desert just outside of Los Angeles. It was at this base that Chuck
Yeager became the first man to break the sound barrier. The Space
Shuttle also use land here.
Sure enough, I found the two planes at Edwards. Here they are!

Don't know what a SR-71 is for a plane?
It is the most advanced reconnaissance plan in the US arsenal, or spy
plane if you will and it's very secret.
The problem is that the plane has been put out of service and it has
not been replaced with a new type of plane.
That is, at least not officially!
It is rumored that it has been replaced with a plane called Aurora,
which can travel at even greater speed and reach near space altitudes.
Here
are other more famous locations I found using the Google Map.

Eiffel
Tower, Paris

Cheops
pyramid, Egypt

It
is much better of my previous address.

I lived here before in Stockholm, Sweden
This satellite photo has a higher resolution and are of better quality.

- NAND Flash memory use in embedded devices.
NAND
Flash memories can be found in everything from mobile phones, mp3
players and storage data devices. More and more people carry these
gadgets around.
NAND
memories offer fast and repeated data storage of large files such as
sounds and movies. Other attractive features as the preferred none
violate data storage are the low cost, high density and long life
expectancy.
The
demand for more NAND memory chips are increasing both in number and in
memory capacity per chip.
These
chips are capable of storing large amount of data while retaining the
data without power. Their only rivals today are hard drives.
